How do I open a Credit Karma Money Save account?

You will need to be a member of Credit Karma in order to open a Credit Karma Money Save account*. Sign up or log in to get started.

Once you are logged in, follow the steps below to create your Credit Karma Money Save account:

1. Navigate to the Savings page.
2. Select the option to Start saving.
3. Confirm your mailing address.
4. Confirm your full Social Security number.
5. If prompted, you may also need to confirm the email address and phone number associated with your Credit Karma account.
6. Review the disclosures and terms. 
7. If you agree to the disclosures and terms and your account opens successfully, you will then see a screen showing your current balance. Make a deposit to start saving!
   • If you see an error saying “We weren’t able to create your account” you are currently unable to open a Credit Karma Savings account. 

Who can open a Credit Karma Money Save account?

To open a Credit Karma Money Save account:

• You must be a current member of Credit Karma.
• You will need a verified phone number associated with your account. 
• You may need to verify your email address.

To deposit funds into your Credit Karma Money Save account, you will need to sign into your external bank account. You must have a bank account and be enrolled in online banking with that financial institution.
